Some skin concerns may benefit from prescription treatment, but the right option can only be decided after an individual clinical assessment.
Prescription skincare assessment
Prescription skincare is available only following an individual clinical assessment with Vaiva Mikalauskaite, pharmacist independent prescriber. An assessment does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued.
Vaiva reviews your skin concern, medical history, current medicines, allergies and previous treatments before deciding whether prescription skincare is clinically appropriate. Where it is appropriate, the medicine, strength, instructions, monitoring and supply arrangements are decided after assessment.
How it works
- Start your prescription skincare assessment.
- Vaiva reviews your information and contacts you if anything further is needed.
- If prescription treatment is clinically appropriate, Vaiva selects the suitable treatment and provides the approved order/payment route.
- If prescription treatment is not appropriate, no prescription is issued and suitable non-prescription options, monitoring or referral can be discussed instead.
What the assessment covers
- Your skin concern, symptoms and treatment goals
- Your medical history, current medicines, allergies and previous treatments
- Benefits, limitations, possible side effects and suitable alternatives
- How treatment would be used and monitored, if prescribed
