Profhilo uses hybrid high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid complexes for selected concerns around hydration, crepiness and elasticity. At Face for Soul it is not used as a substitute for filler: consultation first determines whether skin quality is actually the right target.
01 · THE TREATMENT
Profhilo is not filler with a different name.
The treatment uses high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid in stable hybrid cooperative complexes, delivered by injection into selected points.
Its role is skin quality rather than projection. It is not placed to build cheekbones, reshape lips or replace structural volume in the way a dermal filler may be used.
The consultation decides whether the concern is mainly hydration and skin quality, or whether laxity, volume loss, pigmentation, texture or another mechanism needs a different approach.

The visible concern has to match the mechanism.
Profhilo can be useful when the treatment objective is diffuse skin quality, but it is not automatically the answer for every line, fold or sign of ageing. Consultation separates hydration and skin quality from structural volume loss, movement, pigmentation, scarring and tissue descent.

What are the risks?
Temporary local reactions such as redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising and injection-site bumps can occur. As with any injectable procedure, less common complications are possible, so individual medical assessment, consent and appropriate clinical technique matter.

Aftercare is tailored to the treatment area and your skin. Avoid adding unnecessary irritation around an injectable treatment simply because you want to accelerate the result.

Clinical studies of Profhilo and related hybrid cooperative hyaluronic-acid complexes report improvements in selected skin-quality measures, including hydration and some elasticity or laxity outcomes. The evidence base remains relatively small, several studies are open-label or single-arm, and the 2026 systematic review and 2025 facial study include manufacturer-employed authors. These findings are supportive evidence, not a guarantee of an individual result.

Profhilo or dermal filler?
If the primary goal is structural support, contour or replacement of selected volume, dermal filler may be the more relevant mechanism. Profhilo is not used simply to avoid calling filler “filler”.
